At UPEI, we foster close connections with our students through small class sizes and faculty members who are deeply committed to both teaching and student success, ensuring you feel at home.

You'll gain hands-on experience through various practical opportunities, such as performing nutritional evaluations, offering dietary guidance to actual clients, managing a campus eatery, and experimenting with food innovation in our advanced laboratory. These experiences will equip you with the skills needed for your future career.

The Foods and Nutrition major at UPEI delivers a thorough foundation in essential nutrition fields, covering medical nutrition therapy, public health nutrition, food service operations, food science, product innovation, and food system dynamics. We emphasize experiential learning across all program levels, incorporating laboratory work, tutorials, and community engagement to help students translate classroom knowledge into real-world practice—giving them a competitive edge in the job market after graduation.
