If you're enthusiastic about enhancing nutrition for individuals, communities, or entire populations, creating innovative food products, or contributing to sustainable food systems, UPEI offers a Foods and Nutrition program tailored to your interests. At UPEI, we foster close connections with our students through small class sizes and faculty members who are deeply committed to both teaching and student success, ensuring you feel at home.
You'll gain hands-on experience through various practical opportunities, such as performing nutritional evaluations, offering dietary guidance to actual clients, managing a campus eatery, and experimenting with food innovation in our advanced laboratory. These experiences will equip you with the skills needed for your future career.
The Foods and Nutrition major at UPEI delivers a thorough foundation in essential nutrition fields, covering medical nutrition therapy, public health nutrition, food service operations, food science, product innovation, and food system dynamics.
