Envision stepping directly into a leadership position within one of Canada's fastest-expanding sectors after graduating. That's the advantage you gain by pursuing Aquaculture studies at Dalhousie's Agricultural campus in Truro, N.S. This field encompasses both food production and environmental preservation efforts.
The Aquaculture program at Dalhousie's Faculty of Agriculture combines theoretical learning, lab sessions, projects, and fieldwork. Learners will build competencies and acquire expertise across three key domains: aquaculture practices, aquatic sciences, and practical application.
First-year undergraduates start with core courses establishing the BSc (Agriculture) fundamentals, progressing to specialized aquaculture classes in advanced years. Senior honors students can create and execute their own research initiatives. These experiences prepare graduates for rewarding careers in the expanding Aquaculture industry or for further academic pursuits.
