This program explores the relationship between animal agriculture (livestock and poultry) and the food industry by studying animal and human diseases, nutrition, microbiology, physiology, behavior, and production systems. Students gain hands-on experience with farm animals and numerous industry connections. The BSc in Animal Health degree from the Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences fulfills pre-veterinary medicine prerequisites. Coursework covers companion animal biology and behavior, human-animal relationships, and food safety standards. Through practical projects and case studies, students apply their learning while developing technical skills in state-of-the-art animal research facilities.

Admission is based on complete academic history and achievement in three main areas: Grades, English proficiency, and completion of required subjects.
English language Requirement:
TOEFL: iBT: At least 90 with a minimum score of 21 points in each section
IELTS(Academic): At least 6.5 with no band less than 6.0
CanTEST(Canadian Test of English for Scholars and Trainees): At least 4.5, with no part lower than 4
PTE(Academic): At least 61, with no less than 60 in each communicative skill
CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language assessment) Either CAEL (paper) or CAEL CE (computer): A score of at least 70, with no band less than 60
Duolingo English Test: 120 for English Language Proficiency, with no sub score below 100
