The History Department provides a Master of Arts program, available with or without a thesis option. Students can choose to complete their studies in English or French, depending on faculty availability.
Graduate students conduct research across various fields aligned with faculty specializations. A cooperative education option is also available for master's candidates.
The department offers joint programs in Feminist and Gender Studies as well as Medieval and Renaissance Studies at the graduate level, enabling specialization in these interdisciplinary fields. Additional information can be found in the master's program admission requirements.
The Feminist and Gender Studies collaborative program serves graduate students from arts, education, health sciences, law, social sciences, and counseling/spirituality disciplines at Saint Paul University. Participants enrich their primary degree studies with feminist and gender perspectives, earning their master's degree with a "specialization in Feminist and Gender Studies" designation.
