The History Department provides a Master of Arts program in History, available with or without a thesis option. Depending on faculty availability, students can complete their studies in either English or French.
Graduate students conduct research across various fields aligned with faculty specializations. This master's program also features an optional co-op component.
Students may enroll in interdisciplinary programs for Feminist and Gender Studies or Medieval and Renaissance Studies at the master's level. Additional information can be found in the "Admission Requirements" section for the graduate program.
The Feminist and Gender Studies collaborative program welcomes master's students from arts, education, health sciences, law, social sciences, and counseling/spirituality (Saint Paul University) who wish to incorporate feminist perspectives into their primary discipline. Successful candidates earn their master's degree in their main field with a noted "specialization in Feminist and Gender Studies."
