The MA program is part of the master's-level collaborative initiative in Feminist and Gender Studies.
The Master of Arts in Education (MA) caters to students pursuing specialized research within educational studies, offering five focus areas: Counselling psychology, Health professions education
Leadership, evaluation, curriculum and policy studies, Societies, cultures and languages, as well as Studies in teaching and learning
This MA program also engages with the Feminist and Gender Studies collaborative initiative at the graduate level. Further details can be found under "Admission Requirements."
The master's-level Feminist and Gender Studies collaborative program welcomes students from diverse fields including arts, education, health sciences, law, social sciences, and counseling/spirituality (Saint Paul University) who are interested in feminist perspectives. Participants enrich their primary degree studies with feminist and gender-focused analyses, earning their master's degree with a "specialization in Feminist and Gender Studies."
This initiative helps educators strengthen their instructional abilities to acquire additional certifications acknowledged by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT).
Educators may pursue Additional Qualification Courses (AQ Courses) to advance their credentials in specific teaching divisions or subjects, while Additional Basic Qualification (ABQ) courses broaden expertise in curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation for particular grade levels.
