The MA program is part of the joint Feminist and Gender Studies initiative at the graduate level.
The Master of Arts in Education (MA) caters to students aiming to conduct specialized research within educational studies. It features five distinct focus areas:
Counselling psychology, Health professions education, Leadership, evaluation, curriculum and policy studies
Societies, cultures and languages, Studies in teaching and learning
This curriculum enables educators to refine their instructional abilities, allowing them to acquire additional credentials acknowledged by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT).
Educators may pursue Additional Qualification Courses (AQ Courses) to advance their expertise in specific teaching levels or subjects, while Additional Basic Qualification (ABQ) courses aim to broaden understanding of curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation within particular educational divisions.

The requirements for admission listed below are minimum requirements and do not guarantee admission to the program.
Candidates holding an honours bachelor's degree in education or equivalent, with a minimum overall undergraduate average of 70% (B), may be admitted directly to the master's program.
Candidates for the concentration in Health Professions Education (M.A. and M.Ed.) must have:
an honours bachelor's degree in Education or the equivalent (an honours bachelor's degree in science, in health sciences or in a related field).
All candidates must understand and speak fluently the language of instruction, either French or English.
TOEFL 100 (Internet-based)
