The Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa, with around 1,600 students and 150 faculty members (both full-time and part-time), offers a dynamic learning environment where professors, students, and community partners collaborate to deliver cutting-edge graduate programs. Our master's programs draw students from diverse fields (including educators, administrators, engineers, executives, and healthcare professionals), empowering them with expertise to foster innovative learning experiences across various work environments.
This initiative enables educators to refine their instructional techniques, allowing them to supplement their Basic Qualifications with additional certifications approved by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT).
Educators can pursue Additional Qualification Courses (AQ Courses) to improve their skills and obtain specialized credentials in specific teaching levels or subjects, while Additional Basic Qualification (ABQ) courses aim to deepen understanding of curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation within particular educational divisions.
