The Department of History provides a Doctorate of Philosophy program in History. Students can choose to complete their studies in English or French, depending on faculty availability.
At the PhD level, the department specializes in five key research areas: Canadian and North American studies, European history, Gender and Family studies
Colonialism and Postcolonial studies, as well as War and Diplomatic history
