The programs equip candidates for diverse careers in teaching and research, both in academic and non-academic settings. Throughout their training, students cultivate a critical perspective toward published literature and their own research. Graduates gain deep expertise in their specialization while developing a broad understanding of related fields connected to their research focus. They must establish professional credibility by demonstrating advanced research capabilities in their chosen discipline.
The Department collaborates in interdisciplinary programs including Bioinformatics (master's level), Human and Molecular Genetics (master's and doctoral levels), and Pathology and Experimental Medicine (master's and doctoral levels).
The PhD program also offers a Combined MD/PhD option, enabling students to earn both a Doctor of Medicine degree and a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Medicine simultaneously.
Have a master’s degree in Biology (or equivalent) with a minimum average of 75% (B+).
