We live in an era dominated by communication and information. Examining modern methods of collecting, creating, and sharing information provides insight into the communication mechanisms that influence diverse environments: social systems, cultural contexts, political landscapes, business structures, economic models, and legal frameworks. Through this program, you'll cultivate critical thinking and analytical abilities to assess technology's and media's role in shaping society, institutions, and personal interactions. You'll gain exposure to cutting-edge advancements in communication (including strategic communication, digital platforms, media industry transformations, marketing communications, crisis management, mediation techniques, and more). The Communication Department focuses on two primary disciplines: media analysis and corporate communications (encompassing both internal and external messaging for public and private entities, healthcare communications, organizational development, among others). By blending academic concepts with practical applications, our curriculum sharpens your evaluative skills and readies you for either professional pursuits or graduate-level education.
