The Child and Family Studies (CHFS) program at Nipissing University's School of Human and Social Development offers a distinctive curriculum centered on two key themes:
Human Growth and Education; and
Family and Child Welfare: Challenges, Support Systems, and Equity. Learners can opt for a Major, Specialization, or Honours Specialization track
Additionally, if you're aiming for a profession in developmental services for children or adults, healthcare/mental health, child protection, education, legal systems, public policy, or corporate environments, and are passionate about equity and creating meaningful impact, you might consider earning one of our 2 specialized certificates in Behavior Analysis or our Program Assessment and Practical Research Certificate (PEAR). These credentials equip you to enhance support systems for individuals of all ages within social and human service fields.
