Established in 1854, UNB's Civil Engineering department boasts a rich legacy of excellence. Our graduate program has equipped countless students with the vital engineering expertise needed to design, develop, and oversee critical infrastructure for contemporary communities.

Whether it's transportation networks, structural systems, sustainable water facilities, or green construction projects, UNB prepares graduates for rewarding careers with engineering firms, non-governmental organizations, government bodies at all levels, and global academic institutions.

The MScE program focuses on research, requiring students to complete a significant thesis. Thesis topics must gain approval from the relevant GAU at least six months prior to graduation ceremonies. This research project must showcase a student's ability to conduct independent investigation while advancing knowledge in their specialization. The thesis should demonstrate comprehensive understanding of existing literature, maintain high academic writing standards, and be meticulously edited for technical accuracy.
