Established in 1854, UNB's Civil Engineering department boasts a distinguished legacy. Our graduate program has equipped countless students with the vital engineering expertise needed to design, develop, and oversee critical infrastructure for contemporary communities.

Whether it's transportation networks, structural systems, water purification facilities, or sustainable construction projects, UNB graduates gain comprehensive training to launch rewarding careers with engineering firms, non-governmental organizations, government bodies at all levels, and global research institutions.

The MScE program focuses on research, requiring students to complete a substantial thesis. Thesis topics must receive approval from the relevant GAU at least six months prior to graduation ceremonies. The master's thesis must exhibit the student's ability to conduct independent research while advancing knowledge in their specialization. It should demonstrate thorough familiarity with existing literature, maintain strong academic writing standards, and be meticulously edited for technical accuracy.
