UNB's graduate program in education equips students with the expertise and practical experience to create meaningful impact while progressing their professional and academic goals. Our adaptable curriculum caters to both traditional students and working adults, offering evening classes, online options, and summer sessions tailored to individual objectives and ambitions. Participants can opt for either full-time or part-time study arrangements.
Program Length: The course-focused option requires 10 classes; the project-report track involves eight courses plus a report; while the thesis path consists of five courses plus a thesis. MEd candidates must finish within five years of initial enrollment, and doctoral students have seven years to complete their degree.
Start Dates: Fall, Winter, Summer
Applicants to the MEd in Adult Education are required to hold a four-year undergraduate degree with a grade point average of at least 3.0 (B, or equivalent). They must also have the equivalent of two years of full-time practical experience working in relevant aspects of adult education.
International applicants whose first language is not English must submit language scores that meet or exceed:
International English language testing system (IELTS) = band 7 in all categories
Paper-based TOEFL = 650
Computer-based TOEFL = 280
TWE = 5.5
The MEd in Critical Studies program deadline dates are Dec. 1 (intended start date in May or September) and July 31 (intended start date in January).
