The BC Adult Graduation Diploma (BCAGD) serves as an equivalent credential to a BC Grade 12 diploma. Students must complete five courses to qualify for this program. Typically, a minimum of three courses should be completed at VIU (or another post-secondary institution), with at least one course required to be taken at VIU specifically for eligibility in VIU's BCAGD program. Prior Learning Assessments can fulfill any BCAGD requirements. Furthermore, any 4-credit course approved by the Ministry of Education (MEd) or the Ministry of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development (ALMD) for graduation purposes may count toward the BCAGD.
