The Gender and Women's Studies program enables students to investigate gender-related topics across multiple disciplines, serving as a valuable addition to other academic pursuits. Core curriculum establishes a foundation for analyzing how gender influences knowledge, power structures, and social systems. This field represents an innovative scholarly perspective, focusing on gendered dimensions of human existence and women's societal contributions. Gender and Women's Studies encompasses diverse academic fields and professional applications.
Students can pursue Gender and Women's Studies as a primary major, secondary concentration, or honors track within a four-year Bachelor of Arts program. Arts faculty offerings span numerous subjects examining humanity, cultural development, and global systems of thought and organization. During initial program years, learners choose courses from humanities, languages, social sciences, along with scientific and business disciplines, building comprehensive knowledge for specialized upper-level studies in their selected focus area.
High school students applying to undergraduate programs at the University of New Brunswick must meet the following three sets of requirements in order to be considered for admission.

IELTS or IELTS Indicator with a minimum overall score of 6.5
CAEL CE or CAEL Online with a minimum overall score of 60
Pearson Vue Test with a minimum score of 59
Cambridge English Assessment C1 advanced or C2 proficiency with a minimum score of 176
Duolingo with a minimum overall score of 115
