The Philosophy (MA) program offers a final degree for students seeking to study philosophy at the master's level without continuing further. Although the University of Manitoba doesn't provide a PhD program, its master's curriculum delivers strong foundational knowledge for those planning to pursue advanced studies elsewhere. The Philosophy Department prepares learners to employ systematic reasoning and precise conceptual examination when exploring diverse, thought-provoking subjects. Through deepening their comprehension of rationality, the cosmos, ethics, consciousness, and life's purpose, students develop sharper expression skills and enhanced critical thinking abilities.
