The Department of Clinical Studies is dedicated to enhancing animal health through both foundational and applied research across multiple species, including pets (dogs, cats, birds, and exotic animals), working animals (mainly horses), and livestock. Our clinical specialties include Anaesthesiology, Cardiology, Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Nutrition, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Radiology, and Surgery. The Master of Science (MSc) program mandates at least 3 graduate-level courses along with developing and defending a thesis based on original research, typically finished within about 6 academic terms.

Qualification Requirements

A Faculty Advisor should be identified before application to the MSc program. Applicants to the MSc program should have either an honours Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least a B- (70% Ontario equivalent) over the last 2 years of full-time study, or a DVM (or equivalent) degree with at least an overall B- (70% Ontario equivalent) in the DVM program. A letter of interest, CV and two academic letters of reference are required within the application. International English Language Testing System (Academic) (IELTS) 6.5 , Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and (TOEFL Special Home Edition (iBT)) 89 A minimum score of 21 must be achieved in each of the four categories (listening, speaking, reading, writing) paper based- minimum score of 600
