The cancer research graduate program is a collaborative initiative between the Departments of Public Health Sciences, Pathology and Molecular Medicine, Psychology, and Biomedical and Molecular Sciences. Queen's University offers comprehensive graduate training in Cancer Research, covering diverse fields such as tumor biology, genetics, epidemiology, outcomes research, cell signaling, and health policy formulation. Students benefit from centralized access to extensive cancer research resources across the Faculty of Health Sciences and throughout Queen's University. This interdisciplinary program creates a scholarly hub for cancer studies, uniting researchers and graduate students with varied approaches to the field. It fosters collaboration among cancer-focused researchers and students across departments while promoting cross-disciplinary partnerships among specialists investigating different facets of cancer. Alumni of this collaborative Cancer Research program can pursue numerous career options in cancer-related fields, including fundamental and applied research positions in academic institutions, healthcare research organizations, government bodies, pharmaceutical firms, private sector companies, and various other professional pathways.
The minimum qualification for admission is second class standing in one of the following degrees, awarded by an eligible institution according to the criteria of the Queen’s University Policy on the Basis of Admission for Advanced Study: a. an honours bachelor degree in Arts or in Science, b. or a bachelor degree in Applied Science or Law, c. or the degree of Doctor of Medicine, d. or equivalent.

TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language
Computer-Based Test: A minimum score of 250 and a minimum Essay Rating score of 5.0
Paper-Based Test: A minimum score of 600 and a Test of Written English (TWE) with a minimum score of 5.0
Internet-based test: A minimum score of 100 and a minimum score of 4 for writing
IELTS - English for International Opportunity - A minimum score of 7
MELAB - Michigan English Language Assessment Battery - A minimum score of 90
PTE - Pearson Test of English Academic - A minimum score of 70
