The PhD program equips students for careers in engineering education, research, or advisory services. This program enables in-depth investigation across Mechanical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Computer Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Engineering Systems and Computing, and Water Resources Engineering. Students can pursue the PhD either full-time or part-time. The curriculum delivers specialized instruction in engineering principles and research techniques, blending coursework, self-directed study, qualification assessments, and the development and defense of an original research thesis.

Qualification Requirements

A recognized master’s degree in engineering, with at least a high second-class standing. ​Please note that for the IELTS test, the School of Engineering requires a minimum score of 6.0 for each component band, with a minimum score of 6.5 overall.
