The Master of Science (MSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs in Animal Biosciences are delivered through our dedicated Department of Animal Biosciences, which specializes in cutting-edge research areas including Animal Breeding and Genetics, Animal Nutrition and Metabolism, Animal Physiology, and Animal Behavior and Welfare. Graduate candidates have additional opportunities to participate in interdisciplinary research through collaborative programs with other departments: Bioinformatics, Neuroscience, and Toxicology. For the MSc degree, students can choose between two pathways: completing coursework with a major research paper or pursuing a thesis-based option. We also provide a comprehensive PhD program. Our coursework-based MSc with major paper offers intensive one-year specialization in various animal science disciplines, while the thesis-based MSc is a two-year research-focused program. The PhD program provides deeper academic exploration and specialized research training, typically completed within a four-year timeframe.
