Scientists at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine's (WCVM) Large Animal Clinical Sciences Department are investigating topics spanning epidemiology, food security, animal behavior and welfare, reproductive health in cattle and horses (theriogenology), specialized livestock management, and various surgical and medical initiatives. An Animal Care Unit featuring 1,800 square meters of specialized housing for multiple species, complete with a biosafety level two containment zone
The 840+ hectare Goodale Research Farm, which maintains pastures, croplands, and a herd of 230 cattle and other livestock
A Veterinary Medicine Microscopy Unit equipped with cutting-edge imaging technology and multiple microscope systems
A Master's degree, or equivalent, from a recognized university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study.
A cumulative weighted average of at least 70% (USask grade system equivalent) in the Master's degree.
Demonstrated ability for independent thought, advanced study, and research.
English language proficiency requirements
