Qualification Requirements

A master's degree with a cumulative average of a minimum of 3.3 GPA (on a four point letter grading scale) in the last *60 credits.
A two-page statement detailing:
research interest(s),
background, commitment and scholarly preparedness for advanced, independent research in Indigenous Studies and related fields, and
include an outline of discussion with your preferred supervisor and, if possible, potential committee members in the Faculty of Native Studies.
An example of academic work appropriate to the application.
Three letters of reference (preferably academic)
A current resume or curriculum vitae
TOEFL iBT, in-person or special at-home edition - Total score of 90 with a score of at least 21 on each of the individual skill areas (internet-based) or equivalent. IELTS - 6.5, with at least 6.0 on each test band. Canadian Academic English Language Assessment - Overall 70 with at least 60 on each subtest.
