The Department of Educational Policy Studies provides master's and doctoral programs across several specialized fields: Adult, Community and Higher Education; Educational Leadership Studies; Indigenous Peoples Education; and Social Justice and International Studies in Education, along with a graduate certificate program in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.
Our department aims to cultivate thoughtful, innovative scholars with deep knowledge of systemic and contextual influences shaping education in Canada and globally.
These specialized graduate programs benefit from our diverse faculty's active research and publications (available at www.ualberta.caeducational-policy-studies), covering key areas including: Indigenous education perspectives; educational leadership and governance; career studies; sociological, historical and philosophical education analysis; educational policy and reform; equity and inclusion; adult learning and professional development; international education; and postsecondary education systems.
