The Drawing program provides comprehensive instruction in traditional drawing techniques alongside modern applications within an expanded artistic practice. Beginners start by mastering core drawing fundamentals such as representational techniques, compositional principles, material handling, and spatial relationships. As students progress, they engage in intensive figure drawing sessions with live models. After foundational courses, learners pursue more autonomous work, exploring diverse creative pathways that span conventional drawing methods to interdisciplinary approaches combining drawing with photography, digital media, installation art, and performance. This discipline emphasizes conceptual thinking and contemporary art theory, recognizing drawing's relevance across multiple domains including scientific illustration, medical visualization, various art forms, and as an independent research practice.
