Special Education graduate programs equip students with research skills and scholarly knowledge to effectively address the academic, emotional, and social requirements of special needs students. These programs offer both MEd options (thesis or course-based) and PhD degrees.
The course-based MEd track trains students to become expert practitioners and consultants, with a concentration on language-related learning challenges. This two-year program follows a structured sequence, beginning with an intensive on-campus summer course followed by online classes. Advisors are assigned upon program acceptance.
The thesis-based MEd path prepares graduates for research, academic, consulting, or specialized practice roles. Each program is customized based on the applicant's background and goals. Prospective students must arrange for faculty supervision before applying.
