The Geophysics program applies Physics concepts to study Earth's subsurface structure and dynamics. Geophysical methods help identify energy resources, mineral deposits, archaeological finds, and petroleum reserves. Experts in this field also evaluate natural risks such as volcanic activity and seismic events. The Honors Bachelor of Science offers specialized education for research-oriented students, featuring a mandatory thesis component and stricter academic requirements compared to a standard BSc Major. While students may complement their studies with a minor from Arts, Native Studies, Business, or Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences, this choice limits elective options. The Honors track doesn't permit double majors.
