Our Geology program is accredited by the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA) and features multiple field placements, providing valuable practical experience to complement classroom learning. The Bachelor of Science with Major offers extensive customization, covering diverse subject areas. Students can add an optional minor or pursue a double major, enabling them to tailor their studies to two interests or concentrate on one specialization. The program allows for either broad interdisciplinary study or focused exploration of a chosen field. Qualification Requirements

English is the primary language of instruction in all Faculties except Facult Saint-Jean. All undergraduate applicants to any program or course except Facult Saint-Jean need an adequate level of English language proficiency before admission, regardless of their citizenship status or country of origin. The University of Alberta reserves the right to use discretion in determining adequate levels of language proficiency to ensure success in academic programs.
Graduation from a recognized degree program offered by an accredited university at which English is the primary language of instruction or in a country where English is the primary language.
A score of at least 90 on the TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language - Internet-based) with no less than 21 on each band.
A score of at least 6.5 on the IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System) with no band less than 6.0.
A score of at least 70 on the Canadian Academic English Language assessment: CAEL (paper) or CAEL CE (computer) with no band less than 60.
