Acquire essential first-year engineering fundamentals across all disciplines while gaining practical, hands-on experience for Foundation and Level 2 electrical instrumentation apprenticeships. Diploma holders can advance to second-year engineering studies at the University of Victoria, or pursue degrees in Science, Technology Leadership, or Technology. A UVic engineering degree enables you to work as an engineer-in-training while progressing toward professional certification over four years. Alternatively, entering the workforce immediately after completing the diploma allows you to work toward ITA Red Seal certification, having already completed half of the required technical training levels.
