C+ in Pre-Calculus 12 or MAT 060
C+ in English 12 or equivalent or successful English assessment
Some courses within the Engineering Foundation Certificate have chemistry and physics prerequisites that will also need to be met (C+ in Chemistry 12 or equivalent, and C+ in Physics 12 or equivalent). Students can take any needed upgrading courses to achieve those prerequisites before or after admission into the Engineering Foundation Certificate.

An applicant must have graduated from secondary school, or equivalent, or be a minimum of 18 years of age or older within the calendar year in which they are applying to study and must also meet the program admission requirements.
The Office of the Registrar will provide an alternative application process for students who are both under the age of 18 and not a secondary school graduate within the calendar year in which they are applying to study.
An applicant must be a Canadian citizen or provide the following documentation, as applicable, as part of their application:
Proof of permanent resident status
Proof of convention refugee status
Proof of permission to study in Canada as an international student
BC English 12 or BC English First Peoples 12 with a minimum grade of C. Academic IELTS overall score of 6.0 (no band lower than 5.5). Students who do not have a band score of IELTS 6.0 or higher in Reading and Writing will be required to take English 104. TOEFL ibt 80 overall with no subsection less than 19. TOEFL 550.
