The five-year Bachelor of Engineering is a cooperative education program consisting of eight academic semesters and at least four professional work terms. This structure allows you to implement classroom and lab knowledge in practical settings, gaining up to two years of valuable engineering experience before completing your degree.
Starting in your second year, you'll focus on one of these specialized fields:
Civil Engineering
Computer Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Mechatronics Engineering
Ocean and Naval Architectural Engineering
Process Engineering
The program includes introductory courses across all disciplines to help you choose your specialization before Academic Term 3 (second year). Earning this engineering degree fulfills the educational prerequisites for Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) certification.
All engineering students begin with our foundational Engineering One curriculum. This first-year program covers core subjects like mathematics, physics, chemistry, and engineering principles shared across all specializations. Engineering One courses teach essential skills including problem-solving, analytical thinking, design processes, effective communication, and collaborative work. You'll explore various engineering disciplines and their practical applications in real-world scenarios.
