The film program spans multiple disciplines: alongside comprehensive technical training and cinema studies coursework, you'll expand your knowledge across various artistic fields. Through hands-on filmmaking and video production, you'll collaborate closely with both local and international instructors and industry experts. These connections often evolve into lasting professional relationships post-graduation, with many alumni creating award-winning productions.
Housed within the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology, the Film major is part of the School for Contemporary Arts' performing and fine arts offerings. This Vancouver-based program includes a minor that emphasizes film and video's theoretical, analytical, historical, and critical dimensions.
