Qualification Requirements

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, with Grade 12 English, or mature student status.

Applicants, whose first language is not English, must provide proof of English proficiency. Sault College accepts the TOEFL, or IELTS, or equivalent test to satisfy our English admission requirements. International applicants must have an IELTS Score of 6.0 with no band lower than 5.5.

Results must be from within two years of the start of the program and must meet the following minimum requirements:

TOEFL score of 79-80 for the Internet-based test (iBT) and no test below 20
Cambridge English Exams C1 Advanced/CAE 180 or CAE C
C2 Proficiency/CPE 200 or CPEC
PTE Academic 60
Duolingo 105
CAEL CE 60
Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) Level 7 for all areas: reading, writing, speaking, listening

Application Deadlines:

To be considered on an equal basis for programs beginning in the fall, your application must be received no later than February 1.

After February 1, applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis, provided there are still vacancies in the program(s) of your choice.

For programs beginning in January, the equal consideration deadline is October 1.
