The PHCNP Diploma is a one-year full-time or two-year part-time program designed for nurses holding a master's degree who seek advanced training in primary health care nursing. This curriculum incorporates courses from the Ontario Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner program, enabling students to enhance their clinical assessment skills and knowledge for nursing roles in primary care environments.

Queen's University's graduate nursing programs cater to those pursuing nursing research and advanced practice. Our Ph.D. program focuses on developing nurse scientists through intensive independent research exploring health transitions, outcomes, and management. The MNSc thesis program offers two specialization areas: Chronic Health Conditions and Transitions in Health and Illness. The MN(PHCNP) program prepares students for advanced primary health care nursing practice, while the PHCNP Diploma serves master's-prepared nurses seeking similar specialization.
