The Bachelor of Fine Arts with a Film major immerses students in cinematic artistry while equipping them for the multifaceted world of film production. Emphasizing practical experience, the curriculum blends narrative, documentary, and avant-garde filmmaking approaches. Through team-based projects, learners cycle through various positions including screenwriting, performing, film direction, production management, cinematography, set design, post-production editing, and audio engineering. Coursework gradually pushes students to undertake more sophisticated projects while mastering both on-location and studio techniques, culminating in a capstone thesis during their final year.
The program's resources are housed in the prestigious Academy Campus, featuring a 3,000 sq. ft. soundstage, 16mm film gear, advanced digital cameras, editing and audio workstations, professional lighting setups, and the Cineflix screening theater.
Instruction is led by a distinguished faculty of practicing artists, academics, mentors, and industry professionals.
In their last term, film students finalize their thesis by engaging in a significant production project as either a producer, director, performer, animator, or writer.
