The Master of Education (MEd) program equips future educational leaders for diverse learning settings including schools, classrooms, and other educational institutions. This program suits educators, healthcare workers, and professionals from various fields. Students can enroll either full-time or through a flexible full-time (flex-time) schedule, which enables working professionals to maintain employment in research-related areas while studying. All MEd courses are delivered online, allowing for remote completion of the degree. While some interdisciplinary on-campus courses at Nipissing University may be available, these are not assured. The full-time MEd program typically spans two years.

At least two of the references must be from someone qualified to address the academic ability and competence of the applicant to undertake graduate studies. Reference letters cannot be completed by anyone who is personally related to the applicant.
All applicants are required to either write a statement of approximately 500 words explaining the value of undertaking a master's degree for their specific circumstances or a statement about their research interests.
