The oil and gas sector presents intricate challenges that demand specialized knowledge across multiple technical fields. To address this need, the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science provides a comprehensive oil and gas engineering (OGE) program that integrates various disciplines. This course-focused curriculum delivers cutting-edge expertise in upstream operations, production processes, and downstream engineering within the petroleum industry. The program tackles critical industry concerns including sustainability, environmental conservation, risk management, system reliability, and operational safety. Coursework encompasses drilling techniques, petroleum fluid phase behavior, production systems, compact equipment design, offshore environmental practices, and natural gas engineering principles. Numerous courses incorporate hands-on learning through field studies and lab demonstrations. Students will collaborate on a two-term engineering project to implement classroom and laboratory knowledge in practical scenarios.
Participants may choose between full-time or part-time enrollment options, with the full-time program typically spanning 1-2 years.
