Earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) involves completing at least 120 credit hours (typically 40 courses) over approximately four years. Throughout the program, you'll explore diverse subjects including cultural studies, philosophy, ancient civilizations, social dynamics, and the environmental factors shaping our world. This curriculum develops essential abilities in critical analysis, problem-solving, and articulate communication to thrive in our evolving global landscape.

English studies center on two fundamental practices: literary analysis and composition. Certain classes may emphasize creative or technical writing, while others focus on textual interpretation. However, these elements are typically interconnected. An English degree provides exceptional insight into linguistic mechanics. Within our English Department, you'll discover innovative and classical concepts through both avant-garde and conventional texts. You'll study seminal works while participating in stimulating discussions about literary significance, cultural evolution, personal identity, and societal roles. Our programs all cultivate sharp analytical skills, attentive reading habits, and polished writing abilities.

Memorial University's Harlow Campus in England provides specialized English courses. Experience live performances, literary landmarks, and artistic activism - our UK campus offers these unique opportunities and more.
