The curriculum revolves around eight key disciplines: adapted physical activity, biomechanics, sports medicine and rehabilitation, exercise physiology, motor control and learning, physical activity psychology, sociocultural aspects, and health promotion.
Students select a specialized track during course registration, allowing concentrated study in one or more kinesiology fields. The program permits enrollment in elective courses beyond its core offerings. Qualified candidates at Lakehead University can pursue a Master of Science in Kinesiology.
Students may choose between two degree pathways:
Thesis Master's program (2 years)
Course-based Master's program (16 months)
