Students seeking to cultivate expertise across two complementary fields can pursue a Double Major by selecting two disciplines within the same degree program (such as a Bachelor of Arts). This BA Double Major option enables deeper learning across interconnected subjects, blending theoretical coursework with practical skill development for real-world problem solving. Our Faculty offers numerous combinations that expand career possibilities. Recent double major pairings have included Anthropology with Applied Geography, Psychology with either Anthropology or Creative Writing, Criminology and Psychology, English paired with either Creative Writing or History, History with Political Science, and Political Science with Sociology. With thirteen majors available, the potential for intriguing academic combinations is vast.
Students pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major must be admitted to the Faculty of Arts.
Students intending to graduate with this Faculty of Arts Bachelor’s degree must declare the credential by the time they complete 60 credits of undergraduate coursework. At the time of declaration, the student must satisfy all of the following requirements:
