Graduates typically work as direct support providers or educational aides.
If you're seeking a rewarding career where you can directly improve the lives of people with developmental disabilities, the Developmental Services Worker (DSW) program offers the perfect foundation.
Through this program, you'll develop into a thoughtful, highly competent practitioner while helping individuals of all ages achieve greater independence and community integration. The curriculum features engaging coursework emphasizing health management, communication skills, instructional methods, and positive behavior reinforcement. You'll master techniques for working collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams supporting those with developmental challenges.
With approximately 700 hours of hands-on training through community organizations and school partnerships, you'll acquire practical skills and self-assurance vital for a career in developmental support.
