Merging artistic vision with practical construction skills, the Architectural Technology program immerses you in the vibrant, fast-paced field of building design that's constantly in high demand.
This acclaimed program equips students with comprehensive knowledge of the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction sector. Through hands-on studio projects, the Architectural Technology curriculum covers Architectural Design, Technical Documentation, Engineered Building Systems, Urban Planning, Building Codes, Construction Science, and Project Management. Learners will participate in Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) for diverse building projects, utilizing industry-standard software including Revit and AutoCAD.
The program emphasizes realistic studio simulations, cutting-edge technologies, and industry-aligned coursework centered on practical projects, equipping graduates for today's construction landscape. Through scenario-based training using modern techniques, students gain experience across all phases of construction projects. Participants will work on VDC projects ranging from small structures to large complexes while studying integrated structural, mechanical, and electrical systems. Spanning three years, the program includes six academic terms and three paid work placements.
With its cooperative education option, the Architectural Technology program enables students to obtain real-world experience at professional firms, corporate entities, or government organizations. Co-op participants qualify for entry-level roles such as architectural assistant, structural drafter, CAD technician, BIM specialist, field supervisor, project coordinator, building inspector, or technical representative.
