Acquire specialized expertise to support children and adults with disabilities. This program covers key areas including advocacy, alternative communication methods, disability awareness, inclusive learning environments, career support strategies, behavioral interventions, and teaching approaches. Apply your knowledge through three practical work placements, including one focused on Behavior Intervention. Graduates will be qualified for Behavior Interventionist roles across diverse environments such as K-12 schools, respite care, community programs, residential facilities, home-based support, vocational programs, and colleges. Approximately 88% of Classroom and Community Support graduates secure relevant employment post-completion (data from B.C. Student Outcomes).
