This intensive one-year Social Service Worker – Immigrants and Refugees program equips you to become an effective support provider for immigrants and refugees from various cultural backgrounds. The rigorous curriculum focuses on personal development, requiring you to evolve, adapt, and question your own perspectives. Grounded in principles of equity, social justice, and anti-oppression, the program offers deep understanding of migration patterns and practical skills for assisting clients with settlement and integration.
Eligibility requires completion of an undergraduate degree, with preference given to those holding a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences or related fields. The accelerated schedule includes a seven-week summer semester beginning in early May, followed by a standard academic year starting the Tuesday after Labor Day and ending in mid-April.

Applicants with credentials from outside of Canada must provide a "course-by-course" credential assessment from a recognized agency such as WES (World Education Services) or ICAS (International Credential Assessment Service); including a Postsecondary English course or equivalent.
