This intensive program delivers comprehensive technical education in quantitative approaches and their practical uses, enabling you to conduct thorough economic evaluations on selected topics. You'll design, oversee, and complete extensive research initiatives exploring diverse areas - ranging from highly conceptual themes to data-driven investigations utilizing actual datasets. Providing a robust scholarly base for graduates entering the workforce or continuing toward PhD programs, our curriculum welcomes both domestic and international applicants. After completing their initial term, students may apply for the MA Co-operative Program to acquire practical professional exposure. Previous internship locations have featured banking organizations, global enterprises, governmental bodies, and healthcare firms.
An honours degree in economics, from a recognized university, or the equivalent, with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 is required. An applicant may be required to take up to 12 prerequisite undergraduate credits in addition to, but as part of, the regular graduate program. Some applicants may be required to pass a qualifying program, as a condition for entry into the regular MA program.
