front-of-house staff
Developing versatile skills with creativity makes you more valuable to the theater world, your personal growth, and society.

In today's competitive employment landscape, theater training cultivates professional communication abilities and self-expression techniques. These assets provide an edge across various professions. Acadia Theater fosters globally engaged, articulate individuals equipped with adaptable skills, strong values, and the perseverance to contribute meaningfully to both artistic and broader communities.

The collaborative nature of theater develops adaptable skill application. Students gain hands-on experience both onstage and behind the scenes through academic coursework and practical studio training, deepening their understanding of theater's vital role in cultured societies.

The program offers comprehensive theater education with career-focused preparation. Performance students build expertise in acting techniques, physical theater, vocal training, historical context, and dramatic texts while participating in Acadia Theater Company productions. The production track provides interdisciplinary training in technical theater specializations.

The Acadia Theater Company annually presents two mainstage productions spanning contemporary, classical, and global works, plus a Minifest featuring student-created short plays. This festival provides complete production experience under faculty guidance, with students handling all creative and technical roles.

Our faculty consists of accomplished professional theater practitioners committed to maintaining rigorous standards in both practical and theoretical work. With small class sizes and an inclusive philosophy, professors provide personalized mentorship throughout your academic journey.

Acadia combines robust academics with intensive production opportunities. This dual focus, enhanced by individualized attention and foundational training, develops adaptable, critically thinking graduates with well-rounded capabilities.
