Art, Performance and Cinema Studies within the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology represents one of the contemporary arts programs in the School for Contemporary Arts, available at SFU's Vancouver campus.
Simon Fraser University's School for the Contemporary Arts (SCA) seeks applicants for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) in Indigenous Contemporary Arts. This tenure-track opportunity is designed for candidates with outstanding research credentials at the Assistant or Associate Professor level (or those qualified for these positions). The anticipated start date is Spring 2025.⁠

Qualification Requirements

Official International High school Transcripts required.Submit a transcript which includes grades for all courses completed and final grades for the first semester of Senior Year. Graduation from a university-preparatory program at a senior high school. International Baccalaureate IB Diploma is required. You must successfully complete the full IB Diploma, including at least 3 HL courses
All prospective Visual Art students are evaluated by means of a portfolio with images and written responses.
IELTS - All test formats accepted with a minimum overall band score of 6.5 with no part less than 6.0. TOEFL IBT- Overall score 88 with no part less than 20
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic)- Overall score of 65, and a minimum score of 60 in the Communicative Skills, including: Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing
