This two-year, full-time Stage & Screen Costuming Diploma program equips students with both technical and creative skills for theatrical and cinematic costume design. The curriculum covers costume history, fabric studies, wardrobe coordination, and garment construction methods. Students get practical experience by participating in campus theater shows and student film productions. Graduates are prepared for beginner roles in film and theater costume departments.
Program objectives
Master advanced research methods.
Develop specialized costume skills (including roles like costume designer, wardrobe supervisor, assistant designer, head cutter, seamstress, dye specialist, aging artist, on-set supervisor, or production costumer).
Create a professional portfolio showcasing costume-related work.
Assume leadership roles in industry-like settings, follow proper protocols, and guide costume teams while demonstrating professional leadership, teamwork, and communication abilities.
Build professional relationships and industry resources.
Recognize one's professional worth and role within both the costume department and overall production.
