The Master of Applied Finance (Investing) is designed for students seeking advanced expertise in investment strategies and portfolio management. This program covers both theoretical foundations and practical applications of financial management while exploring the complexities of global financial systems. You'll examine different perspectives on corporate governance and ethical business practices, while mastering techniques to mitigate portfolio, financial, and corporate risks.
Through immersive stock market simulations, students engage with contemporary portfolio theory and its real-world implementation, emphasizing strategic investment choices. The curriculum includes hands-on experience with live market conditions via portfolio simulations, where participants can trade various securities including equities, derivatives, fixed income products, mutual funds, and international stocks using realistic market scenarios.
This program is ideal for graduates holding bachelor's degrees in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or Information Technology. Those without prior academic experience in these fields may want to first complete the Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance.

A recognised Bachelors degree in a Business related field, Engineering, Maths or IT related major, or a UOW Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance. Applicants with other relevant tertiary qualifications and/ or substantial relevant professional of managerial experience will also be considered for entry.
